SkillBridge
SkillBridge is a Department of Defense (DoD) program that lets active-duty service members work with civilian companies for up to 180 days before they separate from the military — while still receiving their full military pay and benefits. It’s essentially a paid internship or job training opportunity funded by the military, giving service members real-world civilian work experience to help them transition into the workforce. Companies benefit from the expertise of skilled veterans, while service members build their resumes and can secure job offers before leaving the military.
